Owner/Clinical Social Worker/Therapist

Susan Lang is the owner of "A Place to Start" and has been a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor with over 35 years experience in the mental health field. Over the course of her extensive career she has worked in various settings such as inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient programs, detox, substance rehab and private practice.

Susan offers couples counseling and individual counseling for a multitude of mental health and substance abuse disorders included but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, addiction, grief and psychosis.

Mary Jane McManus, MSN, APRN, PMHNP, FNP-C

Mary Jane provides medication management for a variety of psychiatric illness's. She prides herself on staying up to date on the latest psychiatric medications so that she can provide her patients with the most optimal and effective care.

Jameion serves SC and NC and treats ages 12 and up and offers individual counseling for many mental health disorders included but not limited to anxiety, depression, ptsd, mood disorders, grief, and men's mental health.

I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy for my clients. With over 15 years of experience, I am committed to helping my clients reach their fullest potential and develop resiliency in the face of life’s challenges. I specialize in trauma and use a variety of therapy modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches, to best meet the individual needs of each client. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or any other emotional or mental health issue, I am here to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing.
